What We Do At Trapdoor...

Each term at Trapdoor consists of ten classes, culminating in a Showcase performance to friends and family. This takes place on the final week of each term and is held in the school hall at Ratton. The terms are themed and all our work – singing, dancing and acting is based around that set topic. Alongside this we work on stage craft, make-up, set design, choreography, singing technique, improvisation and much more!

The children are provided with a fun, safe environment in which they can thrive. The groups are kept small, meaning each child can be given individual attention whilst also working within a team. Not only can the classes help develop their talents in dance, drama and music but also boost confidence and give the children a whole new set of friends.

The group also perform locally in cabarets for charities and fund raising events for various groups - this gives them the opportunity to perform in smaller groups and gain valuable experience from working in different venues and for a very varied group of people.
